Muhammad Masood

Position: Head of Urban Planning

Mr. Muhammad Masood is the Head of Urban Planning Department. He is a Town Planner and Social Scientist and he did MS in “Urban Planning, Land and Housing Development” from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) , Bangkok, Thailand in 1992. Advanced courses in estate management and housing development in AIT helped him to groom and refine multifaceted broad based skills in urban planning, regional planning, community and housing development, public policy formulation, project planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects/programs. Before getting MS degree he did graduation in “City and Regional Planning” from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan in 1984.

 

As an urban and regional planner of long standing, with educational experience and professional practice spread over four decades, Mr. Muhammad Masood has all round experience of teaching, living and working at various levels, at home and abroad (Sibu Jaya, Malaysia and Yanbu Al Saniyah, Kingdome of Saudi Arabia). He is well skilled in preparation of community development plans, strategic development plans, outline development plans (ODPs), sectoral plans, and preparation of structure plans for urban areas of different sizes in various geographical, economic, cultural and social settings.  He is capable to supervise detailed planning, mapping, evaluation and monitoring of townships and industrial estates inclusive of special economic zones.
